I took my engagement ring to Jared to have the main diamond tighten and they broke the prong of my engagement ring
They made such a horrible job trying to fix the prong that my engagement ring, it has been severed damaged. My husband and I traveled to show the ring to the original jeweler 240 miles from home and he said it was severed damaged and I could not wear it how it was.
They damaged my $14,500 engagement ring. A simple job to tighten a diamond turned into a horror nightmare. They told us the store could not help us anymore and we need to go through Customer Care. Customer Care is a lie, they will never help the customer, you have to go back to the store and the store tells you, you need to call Customer Care.
Please do not take nothing to be repaired or buy from this jewelry store. They have terrible customer service, they cover themselves when they make an error, they don't have good repair persons and the main thing you can't trust them. I was told by one of their salesperson that an unqualified person worked on my ring and broke the prong and they were going to make sure the other person in the shop will make it as new. That was a lie because when I saw the work he had done under the microscope 30, I saw a terrible job done.
But the most incredible thing the assistant manager told me was: you can't see it with the naked eye (THE SEVERED DAMAGE THEY CAUSE EVEN AFTER THEY TRIED TO FIX WHAT THEY BROKE)...you can wear it, only through the microscope you can notice it". Isn't that lovely the way they do customer service?
We are ending paying for the repair at the original jewelry store that we trust and where we bought the ring. I have read so many horror stories on the internet after my experience about customer going to Jared, that if I would had known or read those stories/reviews before placing my trust on them to tighten the main diamond of my engagement ring, I DEFINITELY would not had taken it to JARED GALLERIA JEWELRY STORE IN PLANO,TEXAS.
